Files you upload

NepaliPDF converts PDFs to Word documents and text. To do that, the PDF you choose is uploaded to our server, converted automatically by software, and then deleted. No person looks at your files.

What	How long it is kept
The PDF you upload	Deleted within moments of the conversion finishing (or failing).
The Word document made on the website	Kept for up to 30 minutes so you can download it, then deleted.
Text made on the website, and anything made through the API	Sent straight back to you; nothing is kept once it has been sent.

A clean-up runs every few minutes, so these limits hold even when the site is quiet. Each Word document can only be downloaded through its own long, random link. Anyone who has that link can download the file until it is deleted, so don't share the link if the document is private.

Many of the documents people convert contain personal details, such as names, addresses and parents' names. We do not extract, store or index any of that information.

What the software remembers

When the converter works out what a shape in a font means — for example, that a particular shape is the letter क — it may remember that, so later documents using the same font convert better. This is knowledge about fonts: the shapes of individual letters, not the text of your document, its names or any other content.

Your IP address

To stop any one person or program from overloading the service, we count how many conversions come from each IP address. That count is kept only in the server's memory, is never written to disk or to our logs, and is forgotten within a day of your last conversion.

Logs

For each conversion we log whether it worked, how many pages it had and how long it took, so we can see how busy the service is. These records never include file names, document content or IP addresses. When a conversion fails, technical details of the error are logged, and used only to fix bugs.

Our hosting provider, Render, runs the servers and, like any host, may keep standard technical records of requests (such as IP address and time), under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking tools, and does not load scripts, fonts or images from other websites.

Advertising

There are no ads on this site today. If we add them, the advertising provider may use cookies and similar technology. We will update this policy before that happens, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Security

All connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS). Conversions run in a separate process from the website itself, and the limits on file size and usage exist to keep the service safe and available for everyone.

Using the service is also covered by the terms of use.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
